Are your kids interested in technology? Do they have an interest in building robots, coding, creating video games, building websites, or making amazing Minecraft worlds? Then they will love Fleming Tech Camps at The Tatnall School.

New for 2018, The Tatnall School will host three amazing programs with Fleming Tech Camps: Minecraft: Adventure Design; Video Game Design and Movie Making Camp.

Our camps are designed to provide kids with hands-on experiences with cool tech that encourages an interest in science, technology, computing and engineering. Each session of camp features a unique, and specialized, technology topic which is lead by an instructor with an expertise in technology and teaching.

During camp, the instructor guides campers through an educational journey where campers are learning, discovering, creating and playing with cutting edge tech! Fleming Tech Camps engages your child’s creativity and problem solving skills, and builds technology skills that will last a lifetime.

<strong>Pricing for technology day camps at Tatnall School: $395 (for single week camps) and $795 (two week camps).</strong>

Campers can enroll in one, or all three, Tech Camp programs at Tatnall. Camp instruction time is from 9am to 3pm and an extended day option is available for an additional fee. For more information, and to enroll in camp, visit Tatnall’s summer camp website at: Tatnall.org

For two full weeks, campers will learn the ins and outs of how video games are made. Video Game Design camp focuses on game design and graphic arts using Adobe Flash and Adobe Photoshop. At the end of the program, campers will bring home their very own 2D platform games that can be played on any computer.

We will provide introduction, intermediate and advanced instruction so campers with prior experience, or who have attended this camp in the past, can jump right in and start making games.

This camp is designed for motivated campers with 60 percent of the day spent in a classroom (does not require software coding). The day includes lectures/labs, recreation and swimming and time for playing Smash Bros. and Minecraft!

Movie Making - Super Camp

1 Week Session – $395.00
August 6 – August 10: 5 Days (9am to 3pm)

Campers will get the chance to make their own short movie or preview. Each Movie Maker camper will become the Director, Producer, Screenwriter, Actor, and Editor of their very own creation with the help of fellow campers. Each student will come up with a short movie idea or movie preview idea that will be three to ten minutes in length and then go into actually writing, directing, filming, and editing their short. They will learn about what it takes to become a filmmaker, how to write a properly formatted screenplay, and have the enjoyment of working together to create their short movie masterpiece. At the end of the program they will go home with the knowledge of what it takes to work in film and will have completed their movie or preview and rendered it in full High Definition format to be viewed on any HD television, computer, or tablet.
